It’s all mind. The concept of my mind is nothing but a trick for survival. But when allowed to grow and become all-encompassing, it creates a division which is ego-identity. Because it’s also mind, it does what minds do, which is it creates a reality, its own reality. The mind is God and God is the mind, but when it believes itself to be separate from the whole universe, it blocks off communication with it. Then it festers with its own muck and drawing from things that it has already experienced of the world, it creates a story from that.

Most of what we experience in this world has to do in some way, shape, or form with society. Society being filled mostly by people who believe that they are their egos, and so we start to believe the collection of what society is telling us:

  • Having to prove your worth
  • Needing to attain wealth and status
  • Pleasure
  • Need
  • Respect
  • Happiness

In order to have a place of respect, we need to get something, do something, or be someone. And in this way, our egos are reinforced. We live in fear of being an outcast of the society and so are driven to fulfill its demands on us. Like a pool of stagnant water cut off from the flowing cycles, we have become harbours and harbingers of putrid ideas. Any attempt to clean these ideas up from within this state is futile, since the very attempt comes from the same place that is dirty. (I.e., how can a fallible being, having gotten into a situation by means of its fallibility, with the same fallibility fix the situation that it has created?) Maybe you can move some muck around, but nothing’s getting cleaned up here.

The point is to evaporate, to rejoin that eternal cycle of death and rebirth from a blissful point in nature. To not be swayed by the ego and fear, and to choose to open your heart. The core of your being.

Accepting reality as letting go. Being grateful as sinking deeper into God.
